Small costs, named out loud.

Our costs are unglamorous and specific, which is exactly why we can name them. A certified translation. A test booking. An evaluation fee. These are the boring line items that decide whether a qualified person can apply for work at all.

thing it buys.

No impact multipliers, no rounded up claims about lives changed. Just the cost of the specific item and what it unlocks for one person.

Where money goes

Four categories. No fifth one called other.

  • Participant costs. Evaluations, tests, translations and licensing fees for people who cannot meet them. Paid directly to the issuing body wherever possible, never as cash.
  • Programme delivery. Session leads, materials, review time, and the coordination that turns a list of mentors into actual mentoring.
  • Measurement. The unfashionable line. Someone has to collect outcomes honestly, including from people who stopped replying.
  • Core operations. The small fixed costs of existing as an organisation, published as a number rather than buried.

Our first annual financial statement will show income by source and expenditure by category, with the cost per participant figure and its workings. Until that document exists, treat any claim we make about efficiency as unverified, including this one.

01

One off gift

Tied to a named cost where you want it to be. Tell us which line item you are funding and we will report back on that item specifically rather than in aggregate.

02

Monthly giving

The most useful kind for a programme with cohorts, because it lets us commit to a participant's external costs before the money has arrived. Predictability beats size here.

03

Corporate and foundation

Restricted grants welcome, and we prefer them tied to a named programme cost so both sides can report honestly. We will not accept funding conditioned on a promised outcome we cannot control.

Support that is not money

At this stage, an hour often beats a cheque.

If you work in a technical field, forty minutes of practice interview is worth more to a participant than most gifts we could receive. If you speak a language our applicants speak, a translation saves a real cost. If you have run a licensing process yourself, your notes are worth more than a consultant's.

We would rather have the specific thing you can genuinely offer than a general willingness to help. Tell us what that is and we will tell you honestly whether we can use it.

What we will not accept

We will not accept funding that requires us to guarantee an outcome, to prioritise one nationality over another, to place a participant with a specific employer, or to publish a figure we cannot defend. We will also decline a gift where accepting it would compromise the no fee pledge on our promises page.

Next step

Fund the boring things.

The document fee. The test booking. The hour of coordination that turns a willing mentor into a real one. Those are the costs that decide whether any of this works.
