What we will never do.
People in this position get approached constantly by organisations offering certainty for a fee. Some are honest. Many are not, and the difference is almost impossible to see from the outside. So here is the list of things we refuse, written before we had anything to lose by writing it.
Eight things
we will not
do, ever.
If any of these is ever breached by anyone acting in our name, that is not a misunderstanding. Report it using the section at the bottom of this page.
- We will not charge a participant. No application fee, materials fee, success fee, deferred fee, membership, or optional upgrade. If anyone asks you for money in our name, it is not us.
- We will not promise a visa or immigration outcome. We have no authority over any immigration system and no relationship that could create one.
- We will not guarantee employment. Not a job, not an offer, not a salary, not an interview with a specific employer.
- We will not give immigration advice. That is regulated work. We will name licensed practitioners and accredited services, and stop there.
- We will not take a fee from an employer for a hire. The moment we earn per placement, our advice to candidates stops being trustworthy.
- We will not sell, rent or share participant data. Not to recruiters, not to advertisers, not to researchers without explicit and separate consent.
- We will not use a person's story without written consent. Consent can be withdrawn later, and withdrawing it costs a participant nothing.
- We will not tell you what you want to hear. If your route is unrealistic within our timeframe, you will hear that early, in writing.
Adopted at founding. Amendments to this list, if any, will be published with the date and the reason.
Free means free, including the parts that usually are not.
Programmes that describe themselves as free often are, right up until the point where a required service carries a charge, or a partner organisation invoices, or a placement triggers a fee somebody forgot to mention.
Our version is simple. Nothing we provide costs a participant anything, at any stage, in any form, and nobody acting on our behalf may charge for anything. If we cannot afford to provide something, we will say so and it will not appear on the list of what we provide.
Third party costs, such as credential evaluation, language testing and licensing fees, are charged by those bodies and not by us. We publish typical ranges on the candidates page so nobody is surprised, and where donor funding allows we cover them for participants who cannot.
A programme like this attracts the wrong people. We plan for that.
Any organisation with access to motivated people in vulnerable circumstances is a target for exploitation, both from outside and occasionally from within. Pretending otherwise is how harm goes unnoticed.
- Mentors and volunteers are screened before contact, and pairings are recorded rather than arranged privately.
- Sessions happen on channels we can see. A mentor moving a participant into a private channel is a flag, not a courtesy.
- No mentor, partner or member of staff may offer paid services to a participant, in any form, at any time.
- No romantic or financial relationship between a participant and anyone representing us. There is no version of this that is acceptable.
- Concerns are reviewed by someone not involved in the relationship being reported.
We hold less than you would expect.
An application holds your contact details, your professional history and the notes from your review. That is all. We do not buy data about applicants, we do not track you across other websites, and this site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
- Your file is visible to the people reviewing or supporting you, and to nobody else.
- A partner sees your file only after you have agreed to that specific introduction.
- You can request a copy of everything we hold, or ask us to delete it, and we will confirm in writing.
- Declined applications are deleted after twelve months unless you ask us to keep them for a future cohort.
Global Talent Bridge Organization does not guarantee visas, immigration status, employment, or entry into the United States or any other country. Any immigration or employment pathway must be handled through appropriate employers, schools, licensed attorneys and authorised professionals.
Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice, immigration advice, or a promise of any specific outcome. Participation in the programme creates no legal right, no entitlement and no expectation of a result.
Participants may receive access to career preparation, professional development, networking opportunities, guidance, resources and connections with potential organisations. Global Talent Bridge does not promise employment, immigration approval, visas, financial assistance, specific amounts, or guaranteed benefits.
Tell us, and tell us plainly.
If anyone connected to this programme asks you for money, pressures you, makes a promise about a visa or a job, contacts you privately outside agreed channels, or behaves in a way that makes you uncomfortable, report it.
Write to gtbglobal.us@gmail.com with the word CONCERN in the subject line. It is read by someone outside the relationship you are reporting on. Reporting will never affect your place in the programme, and we will confirm receipt within three working days.
You may also report anonymously. Anonymous reports are harder to investigate and we would rather have them than not have them.
